Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using SnapDic ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

SnapDic is a mobile application that provides:

• Camera-based text recognition (OCR) for dictionary lookup
• Integration with various online dictionaries
• Vocabulary management and organization
• Spaced repetition learning system

3. User Accounts

Some features of the App may require you to create an account. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• All activities that occur under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use

4. Subscription and Payments

4.1 Free Version

The free version of SnapDic includes:

• Limited daily searches (10 per day)
• One vocabulary folder
• Advertisements

4.2 Premium Subscription

Premium subscription provides:

• Unlimited searches
• Unlimited vocabulary folders
• Ad-free experience
• Cloud sync (when available)

4.3 Billing

• Subscriptions are billed through the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android)
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
• You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your device's account settings

4.4 Refunds

Refund requests are handled by Apple or Google according to their respective policies. We cannot directly process refunds for in-app purchases.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any illegal purpose
• Attempt to circumvent any usage limits or restrictions
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Use automated systems to access the App (bots, scrapers, etc.)
• Interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality
• Violate any third-party rights, including intellectual property rights

6. Third-Party Services

The App integrates with third-party dictionary services (Google Translate, Cambridge Dictionary, Naver, etc.). Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms of service. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or availability of third-party services.

7. Intellectual Property

7.1 Our Rights

The App, including its design, features, and content (excluding third-party content), is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws.

7.2 Your Content

You retain ownership of the vocabulary data you create. By using the App, you grant us a limited license to store and process your data to provide our services.

7.3 Feedback

Any feedback, suggestions, or ideas you provide may be used by us without obligation or compensation.

8. Disclaimers

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING:

• Merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose
• Accuracy or reliability of OCR results
• Availability of third-party dictionary services
• Uninterrupted or error-free operation

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

• Any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
• Loss of data or profits
• Damages arising from your use or inability to use the App
• Actions of third-party service providers

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.

11. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms. We will notify users of significant changes through the App or email.

12. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users or us.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

14. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be resolved through binding arbitration in Seoul, Korea, unless prohibited by local law.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect.

17. Apple-Specific Terms (iOS Users)

If you downloaded the App from the Apple App Store:

• These Terms are between you and Raynear, not Apple
• Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support
• Apple is not responsible for any claims relating to the App
• Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms
